Tessa chats to Jigsaw Tree in Avatar mode | Back to the top

Our managing director Tessa Lee, and the founder of Jigsaw Tree, Chris Baigent-Reed, do something a little bit different as they jump into avatar mode in this 30-minute talk.

Discussing Jigsaw Tree's recent accreditation as a moneyinfo training partner; Chris explains how they've worked with firms to configure our technology, streamline workflows and create standard templates to accelerate client onboarding and reviews.

Using specialist process mapping software to measure the before and after results, Jigsaw Tree highlight the time and efficiency savings achievable using moneyinfo.

Advice firms are 'more valuable' with a client portal | Back to the top

Advice firms that do not have a client portal are less valuable to potential buyers than those that do. That was the view of those taking part in a panel discussion on the subject at the Empowering Advice Through Technology (EATT) conference. Chaired by Ian McKenna, Founder of F&TRC, the panel emphasised that a client portal is not merely a client tool but a "strategic enabler" for advice firms.

Jon Dear, head of advisory operations at Hargreaves Lansdown, said: “If you haven’t got a client portal I would say, go and get it sorted. There are so many reasons, not least the value of your business. In this age of consolidation, companies that have a digital engagement with their customers will be worth more than those who don’t.”

Xmas 23 Quarterly Do | Back to the top

We had a great send off to our year at our Xmas Quarterly Do, with an all-staff presentation to get the moneyinfo team excited about the features and benefits we're delivering to our client firms this year, as well as launching our 'new model ecosystem' which you will be hearing more on very soon.

We headed to the Black Swan in Henley in Arden for our Christmas feast where we ate exceptionally delicious food, and got to open our Secret Santa gifts in great company with the whole team. Good vibes all around!

As for the entertainment... It's not every day you get to see a magician that delights and disgusts you in equal measure, but when Mark Infiniti demonstrated how he can make a minty TicTac appear from inside his eyelid, there were mixed reactions from the team!

moneyinfo teams up with Seccl | Back to the top

Launching this year, this integration is designed to provide advisers with a market-leading level of onboarding efficiency, while delivering clients a streamlined and intuitive experience that’s accessible on any device and under their advisers’ brand.

In particular, by making use of Seccl’s comprehensive API capability, it will allow firms to gather clients’ acceptance of suitability, as well as their acceptance of platform and wrapper T&Cs, all in one go – potentially saving weeks of back and forth and delay.
